I was forced to abandon my Target trip over an extreme anti

A TARGET shopper fed up with anti-theft devices has revealed an experience inside a store that led him to storm out and turn to Amazon.

TikToker Cook Wayne said that he needed to buy one thing for his son from his Target store.

In his video posted this week, Wayne said that he ran to Target to purchase a Firestick for his son's room after his old device stopped working.

He found the electronic locked behind a plexiglass.

Many stores like Target have rolled out the glass doors as anti-theft measures, with customers made to ring a bell for service.

An employee is then summoned who unlocks the doors and allows a customer to grab their item.

That is exactly what Wayne attempted to do, explaining in the video: "I pressed the button a bunch of times to get help, so they can open up the cabinet, so we can get it and they didn't come."

The fed-up customer went on to explain that in the time that he waited for service, he hopped on Amazon to order the same product.

"The whole time I was waiting, I went on Amazon and I just ordered it on Amazon while I'm standing here in Target.

"It'll be here tomorrow between 4am and 8am. Because I've been waiting so long to get help, and no one came.

"There's somebody who works there and they just...," he said while shaking his head.

He ended his video by saying: "Target, good job. They don't give a d*mn about the customer."

According to Wayne's caption, a worker told him that he "should have came and told them" on his way out of the store.

He wrote over his clip: "I went to Target to order an item from Amazon."

The video saw more than 330 comments and 25,000 views and sparked a mixed reaction from those watching.

One person said that the same thing happened to him at Walmart.

"Had that happen when I was in Walmart," they wrote.

"I had other items and waited sooo long to get a locked item, eventually I left everything and walked out."

Another person said he experienced a similar situation at BestBuy, writing: "Same at Best Buy. No help, ordered what I went there for while I was being ignored and had it delivered in four hours."

One commenter said in response to Wayne's critique of the Target worker in his video: "That’s cause they only have one person working that area.

"Also that employee is fulfillment and does not have keys."

The poster responded by explaining that after speaking to someone at the store, he was issued an apology and given a gift card because of his experience.

Despite many people who sympathized with his frustration, others have taken to explaining why he was left waiting.

"It's because they keep cutting positions & over loading the employees that they do have," one person said.

Another wrote: "Customer service sucks these days pretty much, I feel like they only have like one person covering the whole floor."
